Batman: 50th Anniversary
50 years ago it was aired for the first time on television the first episode of the TV series "Batman" starring Adam West and Burt Ward. I think many of my peers have grown up watching this series that united a bit of action and suspense to a few moments of comedy. The undisputed star of the series, as well as Batman and Robin, was the Batmobile, designed and conceived by George Barris starting from a Lincoln Futura: even today, after so many years, this Batmobile is the most famous of all. The series was composed of three seasons for a total of 120 episodes. In 1966 and 2003 they were also made two films for TV, "Batman - The Movie" and "Return to the Batcave". Of course, both the TV series and the two films could not be missing in my collection, and here are shown next to the two Batmobile produced by Hot Wheels (the Standard and the Elite versions). I council to all fans of Batman to buy at least the box of the TV series: certainly, looked today, does a little smile, but it is a classic that will give you hours of fun and memories. Before concluding, I wanted to do one last thought on collecting about our theme: I must say that in fact to collect diecast models inspired by movies and TV series you have to be familiar with the movie or the TV series in which they were used certain car. Therefore that soon I will introduce many more DVD/Bluray (with its diecast models) because it is useless to have the Mustang "Bullitt," or the real Eleanor of "Gone in 60 Seconds" (the real one, not the remake!) or the Charger of "Dirty Mary Crazy Larry" if you have never seen any of these movies ... you have to know the history of a car before you add it to your collection, and there is no better way than to do it by watching the movie or the TV series that was used! See you soon!
